Pete Doherty turns to Islam

It seems that Pete Doherty may have turned to Islam to help him overcome his drug addicted ways.

The Babyshambles front man who is locked now in Wormwood Scrubs, obviously read the Koran daily.

He at first asked to the sacred book after were moved to the isolated cell last week.

According to a source, “It has many Muslim friends and they went in him the whole eternity to study it. Now it it is independent, it has time for his hands to study it”.

Vanilla Ice charges dropped

The domestic battery charges against Vanilla Ice have been dropped we can reveal.

The Ice man, real name Robert Van Winkle, is free after the April 10 incident, in which he allegedly kicked and hit his wife Laura.

According to the court order, Laura recanted her statement and there were no independent witnesses to the battery, so the case has simply melted away. It also seems that one witness who did come forward said the incident was only verbal.

Bullet For My Valentine cancel tour

Bullet For My Valentine have cancelled the remaining shows on their current North American tour after bassist/backing vocalist Jason “Jay” James returned home to be with its hospitalised daughter.

“Jay had a call [Friday] night about his little girl,” Bullet For My Valentine guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck told Blabbermouth.Net in an exclusive interview this past Saturday (April 12).

“It very much, is very bad – it is in hospital. I am not going to enter into too considerable quantity detailed ‘ the reasons, it – obviously personal material – but it is very bad, and it should fly home immediately, which obviously is a correct thing to make, and he wishes to be there its place at a bed, and, we hope, it is going to cure. It did not have any choice – it should go home – and it was completely fine with us.”

Moby to be evicted

Moby could be evicted from his Los Angeles house for making “excessive noise”.

The ‘Go’ singer, who bought a $3 million house in the Hollywood Hills district in January with close friend and fashion designer Stacey Bendet, has been warned by neighbours not to go ahead with plans to convert his garage into a recording studio.

Pop superstar Prince suffered the same fate when he made too much noise while living in the area.

The neighbour added to the New York Post newspaper: “We just kicked Prince off the street for making excessive noise.”

One neighbour said: “Moby is turning the garage into his studio and the neighbours are all up in arms. He should be careful though.”

The Police made more money than any other act in North America with their 2007 tour, it has been confirmed.

Sting and co’s reformed rock titans made their live comeback earlier this year, playing a total of 54 concerts in the US and Canada.

The shows raked in $131.9 million, almost double that of Kenny Chesney and Justin Timberlake in the Top 10.

Celine Dion and Van Halen were fourth and fifth in the survey, which was carried out by American trade publication Pollstar.
